(1) God is real. There is only one true God and He has revealed himself to the world in the form of the Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:21-22; John 1:1-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
(2) The Bible is His Word. The entirety of the Old and New Testaments was written by men under the divine influence of the Holy Spirit, and it serves as the only authoritative teaching for the follower of Christ (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12-13).
(3) He created man in His image. Not necessarily in physical form, but in spiritual essence. Man was made to be a reflection of God, initially in a physically immortal state, but also with the ability to reason, choose and designed for dominion. (Genesis 1:26-28)
(4) Because of sin, man needs to be saved. Adam & Eve set a precedent for all mankind in their disobedience to the Lord, and as a result, we are now born into sin and incapable of reconciling ourselves to God on our own. (Genesis 5:3; Psalm 51:5; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23)
(5) Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of this world. Jesus is the Son of the living God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary fully human and fully divine, lived a sinless life, in death served as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of mankind, physically resurrected on the third day, and ascended into Heaven. (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35; John 3:16-18; Romans 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
(6) Salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ, and produces fruit in the life of the believer. Salvation only comes to the repentant sinner through faith in Jesus Christ and a conscious confession that He is Lord and Savior. Salvation enables a believer to receive life on earth abundantly and life with God eternally. Those who hold authentic faith in Christ will persevere to the end of their lives or until Jesus returns. (John 19:30; Romans 3:21-26; Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:1-13; 1 Peter 1:3-5, 18-19)
(7) It changes a person’s life. The life lived to sin is dead; the believer is reborn with all rights and privileges of the children of God. As the old passes away from the life of the believer, the new comes and brings wholeness and healing. The sincere believer is immersed in the ways of the Lord and grows in maturity to increasingly personify the fruits of the Spirit (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; John 10:10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:22-23)
(8) The Holy Spirit helps in fully experiencing a Christian life. It plays an instrumental role in the salvation of the believer, coming to live on the inside of every repentant believer in Christ. The Holy Spirit leads and guides the believer, empowering each for Godly living and service through the fruits and gifts of the spirit. Both are to be used in daily living and operate in the local church until Jesus returns. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8, 2:1-4; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; 2 Peter 1:3-7)
(9) Every Christian should be a functioning member of a local church. The Bible teaches that there is power when believers come together and that they should not forsake assembling themselves. The local church is the prominent tool God has utilized to grow the body of Christ in number and in maturity. Also of importance in the function of the local church is the practice of the ordinances of baptism and communion, as outlined and exemplified in Scripture. (Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-47; 6:4; 20:28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34; Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Timothy 2:2; Hebrews 10:25)
(10) There will be a second coming of Christ. Jesus will return to earth to judge all mankind. The dead will be resurrected; those in Christ will receive their reward and dwell with the Lord for eternity. Meanwhile, those who are not believers will receive their eternal punishment, which is separation from God in hell. (Daniel 12:2; Zechariah 14:4-11; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18; Revelation 3:10-12, 19:11-16, 20:1-6,11-15)
